ED 656 Intro
This is my first blog for ED 656. I'm curious to find out how this is going to work but I figure sometimes the best way to figure it out is to just go for it and try it out! So here we go. Hopefully, this will allow me and my students to understand, play with, and experiment with the possibilities for using blogs with secondary students. That's the idea at least.

HI - Blogger is somehow automatically filling in the name I've used on another blog in the past - sorry about that. I did log out and log back in with a gmail account, but it still persists in filling in "castleshadow." I'll keep trying to just use my own name.
I don't know if you've ever looked at the educational technology blog of Peter Reilly; he is the head of the BOCES technology service, LHRIC. I don't know much, but have learned a lot just from reading his blog: http://preilly.wordpress.com. From him I learned about wikis, which are a more democratic way to share content. There are free wiki sites; one good one is pbwiki.com.
